Eco board grades
Our latest and greatest initiative is our Eco board grades. CavanBox are certified to produce FSC mix credit board as well as FSC 100% recycled board. This means we have the freedom to combine different strength papers to make a board that suits your needs while also maintaining the principles of FSC. Green energy
Embracing a commitment to reducing unrenewable energy consumption, we have installed a 300kw Solar PV system on our factory roof. This green energy initiative will reduce our carbon footprint by over 100 tonnes per year. Looking ahead we have plans to increase this further, amplifying our impact and reaffirming our pledge to a sustainable future for packaging.
Circular Economy
CavanBox collect, chop, and bale our corrugated trimmings which are then delivered to a paper mill. The mill then converts these clippings into reels of paper for us (our ECO range). The finished product which is a reel of paper made from 100% recovered fibre is brought back to Cavan. This paper reel will then be reintroduced into the ECO cycle, making new corrugated cases for our customers. Our clients support of our ECO range, eliminates paper packaging going to landfill. Reducing carbon footprint
Alongside our green energy initiatives we are also committed to carbon footprint reduction via transport optimisation. Through careful planning and maximisation, we ensure that our trailers are fully utilised, reducing the number of trips required and the associated emissions.
